One For My Girls!

I wasn’t exactly popular with the girls. For some reason or another (okay mostly it’s because of a boy) I always get into irrational fights with girls. No sexy mud wrestling though, just pure backstabbing girly catfights, sorry to disappoint. I have a few girl friends I keep really close to my heart because if you have been in the same situation as I was, you will hold on to those few, and believe me there are FEW, girls who will HONESTLY be your friend.

Girls are highly competitive but in a silent, backstabbing way. A lot of girl groups secretly hate each other and would do everything to be “the better looking one” or “the smarter one” Girls live in a scary, scary ecosystem. The battle of which garden has the best flowers never ends. So when I found girl friends, the real kind and not like the ones hanging out with you just so they can feel better about themselves, yes there are a lot of people like that, I knew I had to hold on tight. I may never find girls as awesome as they are, ever again. I may not be able to enjoy the joyful benefits of true girl friendships ever. So yeah, we’re still together.

There are some problems that are best discussed with girl friends. Don’t get me wrong but guys are great problem solvers, they’re just not very emphatic and girls with problems usually look for someone who can listen and understand first rather than diving headfirst into the solution.

I have awesome Girl Friends. We have reached that point in our friendship wherein we can openly say “hey, you know what I actually envy your… *insert physical trait*” and also, “I really didn’t agree with your whole outfit that time. it looked off to me” without one of us getting upset and taking it personally. We’re like men! Only, you know, girls!

Anyway, this post is for my girl friends and how I love you so!

Girlie is a nursing graduate. She’s the one whose sarcasm will decapitate you before you’re even aware of what’s going on. A lot of guys may be intimidated by her (I know I will if ever I’m a dude) but to us, to The Sex, she’s THE-OH-SO-KYOT-ADORABLE-I-WANNA-SQUISH one. We all cuddle and snuggle her while she frowns at us and gives us the digusted BUT OH SO KYOT look. She has also made her mark in pictures by screwing an all-smiles picture with an “El Retardo” face. Ah Girlie, we love you!

Chenyl is a nursing graduate / pizza girl. She’s the only girl I know who trips when she’s wearing flats and who is most comfortable when wearing heels. Known before as the Miss Rose Colored Glasses Waiting For Her Right One, she is now open to the concept of harsh reality and compromise. I’m so proud! Oh and also, Chenyl’s the one making the BIGGEST MONEY among all of us and she’s the one with the boots. ENVY ENVY ENVY.

Ayzee is a communication arts graduate like me. (oops! forwarded na oh! LOL) She has been my friend since grade school and she’s the one who’s always the best dressed among all of us. Ayzee makes it seem so effortless gaddemmit. LOL. Her eye for color and proper matches are awesome. I swear, she should write a fashion blog of some sort. She’s was also a cougar once in her life. LOL!
