Things you should never tell your girlfriend

I was supposed to list around 5 things but because of recent events, I’m going to say just one:

Never ever tell your girlfriend she’s fat.

The only valid reason to tell her she’s fat is when her health is involved. Even then, you have to proceed with caution. I think guys who outright tell their girlfriends they’re fat (and seriously mean it) are either morons or just plain assholes. Also, if you’re planning to crack a fat joke featuring your girlfriend, you might want to make sure you rehearse your lines well as the chance of that backfiring is pretty high.

I’m not saying you go ahead and lie to her and tell her she’s a medium when she’s really an XL. All I’m saying is that if the information is not asked you do not point out to her, “Hey you’re too big” or “You should stop wearing those, you’re too fat to wear a bikini” or “Lose a couple of pounds will you?”

Believe it or not, there ARE guys who say these things to their girlfriends. Idiots. People who are itching for an argument may say that the problem with girls is that they demand honesty but can’t accept “you’re fat” comments.”

Here’s my take on this. We want honesty. We want you to tell us where you really went that Saturday night you said you were at work. We want you to tell us if you’re getting tired of the monotony in the relationship. We want you to tell us if we nag too much.

But… don’t tell us outright that we’re “too big” or “too fat” please. You know why? Because much more than honesty, your girlfriend needs your support. If she’s fat or overweight, help her lose weight. You don’t have to bring her down and tell her “hey, you’re too big for a Filipina” or “don’t wear a bikini until you weigh 90lbs”

Give her positive reinforcement. She doesn’t need all that negativity so close to her. (especially if you’re quite the chubby one yourself. FEH)
