Mood: gushing~
Chimera, my laptop of around 3 years, died on me. She picked up a virus which sent her to her death. Chimera was a good partner. I was making endless videos and rendering so many files with her. I’ve used and abused her so much that when it got to her 4th year, she couldn’t handle the pressure anymore and she died.
I used the boyfriend’s laptop for a couple of weeks.. okay, make that a month. He let me use it so I wouldn’t miss much on the online life I’ve built around myself. Hehe. It was fun using his laptop but I was way too cautious of installing things and transferring pictures since it wasn’t mine. I knew that soon enough I had to buy my own laptop.
I originally planned to save up enough money to buy a Lenovo Y410 last year before Christmas. But then a lot of things happened and I wasn’t able to buy it. Before I knew it, they released Y430 and it was for almost the same price. Heh.
So now I am bonding with Blythe, my new partner (in crime) and friend. We’re still at the getting to know you stage and she’s installed with vista home premium so I’m like going around with one eye here. She has been awesome so far though. With her Core 2 Duo processor and 4GB RAM, she’s miles ahead of Chimera. Also, she’s installed with Norton so I have to get rid of that first. I stopped using Norton around 7 years ago. XD
I haven’t installed much and she’s still basically empty but I think we’ll get along just fine. Hee~ I’m so giddy now. So excuse me while I fondle her a bit more. O_O
