Mood: do not want! do not want!
One of my girl friends recently expressed her dislike with the way her sister tries to one-up her. It goes from clothes, to shoes and heck even to the chosen craft. Dislike is a mild word, actually. Anyway as she was telling her story I told her that I could totally relate.
My sister is 11 years old. However, like most girls in her generation she was awakened to the wonders of lipstick and make-up and kakikayan much earlier than that. Also, she crushes like she’s a teenager. I love my sister and don’t want her to get hurt or anything but like my friend, sometimes I suffer with the same situation.
Taking things that belong to me without my permission is one thing.
Also, there’s that issue about her adding my ex-boyfriends and my close friends in friendster. People she really doesn’t know.
And then there’s that time she used pictures on one of my dates with one of my ex-boyfriends and put it up her profile claiming that it’s hers.
She texts my guy friends occasionally, too.
Whenever I have friends over, she makes every excuse imaginable to spend time in the same room so people would notice her.
Oh and pictures of one of my ex-boyfriend’s gifts to me suddenly made its way into her online profile and she even calls it by the name I gave it.
So… yeah, for an 11 year old girl to be doing those things, it IS kind of disturbing. I’ve long given up on talking to her. She’s at that particular stage in her life wherein she really doesn’t care about what you say. As long as it makes her feel good and it makes her happy, she’s going to do it. Feh. Also, with the many times I told her to stop snooping around she doesn’t seem to understand that she’s stealing pictures, and consequently an identity.
I’m just kind of happy that we’re 10 years apart. She won’t be able to borrow clothes and stuff. Though I’m not sure if the things I wear are her type of thing. If that happens, gah I don’t know.
